Kitty Dukakis Dies At 88

The former First Lady of Massachusetts has died. Kitty Dukakis brought mental health awareness to the forefront with her own public struggles with addiction and depression.

Dukakis served on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council and was involved in the creation of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

She was the wife of former Massachusetts Governor and 1988 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis.

According to her family, she died Friday at her home in Brookline, Massachusetts of complications from dementia.

Kitty Dukakis was 88.
