Governor On Tariffs: "He's Not Really Liberating Anyone Or Anything"

Governor Maura Healey was getting the word out prior to the tax deadline day that seniors in the state could be eligible for $2730 dollars in Senior Circuit Breaker tax cuts.

The governor says the circuit breaker is based on real estate taxes paid on a person’s home.

The governor says not everyone will qualify.

But while the governor was promoting tax programs, she also took issue with The President’s reciprocal tariffs on The EU, China, Mexico and Canada.

“I don’t really know why because he’s not really liberating anyone or anything. In fact, what he’s doing is imposing a tax on all of us, and it’s a tax we’re going to be paying from the time we get up to the time we go to bed,” said Governor Healey.

The Governor made her comments while at a speaking engagement in Lynn.
