House And Senate Leaders Reach Agreement On $61B Budget

State House and Senate leaders have reached an agreement on the details of the 61-billion-dollar state budget.

House Speaker Ron Mariano and Senate President Karen Spilka announced the agreement yesterday.

They say it incorporates the strongest proposals from both chambers, making the state more affordable and protecting the most vulnerable residents.

It spends more than three billion dollars than the spending plan for the fiscal year that ends today.
