A 70-year-old man is dead after he was lighting fireworks and they apparently exploded in his face in Wareham.
Police say Robert Spagnuolo was lighting off fireworks on the beach during a July Fourth party Friday night when one exploded, causing traumatic injuries.
Spagnuolo was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
There were no other injuries during the incident, which remains under investigation.
