The state legislature is considering a bill that would ban Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from wearing masks while making arrests.
ICE agents have been seen making arrests while masked in Massachusetts and in other states.
The bill proposed by Attleboro Representative Jim Hawkins would also require ICE agents to have their name and badge numbers displayed on their uniforms while performing their duties.
The measure includes exceptions for medical masks and for SWAT teams.
