Healey Holding Back $125M In Local Budget Earmarks

Governor Maura Healey is pulling back 125-million-dollars in local earmarks that are included in the state budget.

The order was given because of growing uncertainty in the budget numbers.

State budget officials say the money will remain on hold indefinitely until the state's finances come into better focus.

The funds are a relatively small piece of the overall 61-billion-dollar annual state budget for the fiscal year that ends next June.
