Bruins Honor Fallen Uxbridge Officer

The Boston Bruins honor Uxbridge Police Officer Stephen LaPorta during Thursday night's game, one day after he was killed on Route 146 while helping a stranded driver.

The team displayed LaPorta's name on a jersey on the TD Garden jumbotron and shares a message of condolences for his family and fellow officers.

LaPorta was struck by a tractor-trailer early Wednesday and died at the scene.

He leaves behind a wife and a 13-year-old child. Boston went on to beat Calgary 4-1.
