McGovern: "Would Rather Stick Needles In My Eyes" Than Attend SOTU

Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern made it crystal clear he wasn't attending President Trump's State of the Union address last night.

In a post on social media, the Democrat from Worcester said he would rather stick needles in his eyes than listen to what he called Trump's "manifesto of mistruths."

Dozens of Dem lawmakers skipped the State of the Union, with many holding alternate events.

McGovern and several other members of the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation took part in The People's State of the Union counter-rally on the National Mall.
