A large response was needed to put out a house fire in Springfield Sunday afternoon.
A three-alarm blaze was called in at a home on the first block of Springfield Street shortly before 2 p.m, with crews having to return to the home about an hour-and-a-half later for another fire that started in the attic.
Investigators believe the first fire was caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials, while the second fire started because of an electrical issue after the power was turned back on.
No injuries were reported.
