Sears made his major league baseball debut.
The West Warwick High School grad went to Rhode Island College.
Manager AJ Finch says that he handled the emotions of his debut well, although the execution sometimes wasn't where it needs to be.
Finch says that Sears will have mixed emotion about the day because of the score but he is "now a big leaguer."
