Guidelines For Schools/Daycare's Dealing With ICE

The governor's office issued new guidance today for situations involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement at schools and daycare centers in Massachusetts.

Under a new state immigration protection law, the guidelines provide steps to follow if ICE agents arrive seeking access to a student or child or their information.

Governor Maura Healey said the PROTECT Act makes it clear that schools and child care programs are places for children to learn and grow, "not places for ICE to target families."
