Two priests at the same Springfield parish are suspended for alleged misconduct.
The Diocese of Springfield says Father Paolo Bagattini of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish was suspended over the summer following a report of improper behavior with a minor dating back to 2022.
The Diocese also recently suspended Father Robert White of Our Lady of Mount Carmel for an alleged improper relationship that was reported by an adult.
The Diocese noted the allegations against Father Bagattini were forwarded to law enforcement and said anyone with concerns about the conduct of a priest, parish staff member or volunteer should contact law enforcement and the Diocesan Director of Safe Environment and Victim Assistance.
