An Idea Worth Exploring?

Anyone who has been in a meeting or a room with me for any length of time knows that I am always seeking some new way to solve an issue.

I have been stunned by the lack of new ideas, or for that matter ideas of any kind designed to solve issues of the world.

It seems politicians are more interested in getting re-elected than doing the meat and potatoes work.

The Springfield City Council seeing that we have had a spate of crashes caused by speed, an issue that is not only in Springfield but elsewhere, decided to re-set the default speed limit in the city to 25 miles per hour.  That means that you always follow the posted speed limit, but in cases where there is no speed limit, the default speed limit is 25.

Traffic is a circus, even in the middle of the day in Springfield.  But, I am not having a problem with the actions of the city council.

They needed to find a way to at least somehow address the problem and they acted.

What I have the problem with are the people who look at what the council did and blast it.  And blast it just because.  For no apparent reason.

It’s easy to criticize.  But isn’t it worth a try.  Maybe it will save lives.

But not only in this issue, but others in Springfield and around the world, people prove a lot of times that they just don't like anything.

Doing nothing in anything is not an option.
