Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is urging Congress to close a loophole in current federal gun laws.
Noting the role bump stocks played in the recent mass shooting in Las Vegas, 33 attorneys general have sent a bipartisan letter to Congressional leaders.
Bump stock devices are designed to increase the ability of semi-automatic guns to shoot like fully automatic weapons, which are restricted under existing law.
Healey warns that if Congress doesn't close the loophole, tragedies like Las Vegas will happen again.
