State Officials Say Commonwealth Is Safe

Boston  police say there is no known threat to the city following the terrorist  attack in New York City.  

Police officials say they are in close  contact with local and federal law enforcement partners in New York.   

The department has also asked officers to be extra vigilant in their  patrols in response to yesterday's attack. 

 Boston police officials are praising the New York City officer who confronted and stopped the suspect and preventing further harm.
