Have you heard? Have you listened? Really Listened.
“Shut Up.”
“You’re Wrong.”
“You’re a fool for thinking that.”
“You’re stupid.”
You now know what the problem is.
My grandmother always told me that respect was above all the one thing to separate those that were civil with those who rely on pure emotion to get things done. It was all about the way you were brought up.
If you listen to any conversation, you will hear the above repeated and repeated and decibel levels to make it rival any NFL stadium.
People are more interested in telling people how right they are than the right way to succeed.
They are more interested in showing up than showing the way.
They are more interested in creating more problems than solving the ones that are already on the table.
If people listened to one another we wouldn’t have to call out the police department for every little disagreement in society today,
“You can't win an argument. You can't because if you lose it, you lose it; and if you win it, you lose it.” Dale Carnegie said that.
I know. I am stupid and a fool for thinking that anything will change.
