POTUS V The Media-- The Battle Continues

A new poll suggests that clearly a third of the people out there support

The President's view that the "media is the enemy of the people."

The Ipsos survey released Wednesday, finds 29 percent of those polled agree with the idea, including nearly half of all Republicans.

According to the poll one in four Americans think the President should have the authority to close news outlets engaged in bad behavior.

But fewer than one in ten Democrats agree that Trump should close down mainstream news outlets like CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times.

The President, from his bully pulpit, for the longest of times has talked about "fake news" and the "media's agenda" until we can't hear him say it any more.

So, Mr President?  Enough?

His issues with the media are no different then any other president's issues.

No different then any other mayor's issues with the media or CEO.

Somehow they get over it and they move on to their designated work at hand.

The President of the United States is entitled to disagree with a story.

He is entitled to put forth his own narrative as to what the story is.

He is even entitled to comment on the wording of a story or the color of the tie that the reporter is wearing.

But, there is a way to disagree with the media and have them on your side.

There is also a way to disagree with the media to fire up your base.

The two do not coincide.
