Storms Ravage Parts Of Western Mass

A line of storms scraped Western Massachusetts on Monday night and caused a diverse number of hazards.

In Springfield,  heavy rain was blamed for a partial roof collapse of an apartment in  Forest Park.

The collapse happened at an apartment building at 356 Belmont Avenue.  100 people have been left homeless in 29 apartments.  They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

A lightning strike started a house fire in Southwick,  while the National Weather Service said a funnel cloud was seen in  Granby.

Eversource is still reporting about three-hundred outages in  Franklin County, and National Grid says there are about 12-hundred in  the dark in Berkshire County.
