Colleges Ready For Fall Semester During Pandemic

Smith College is announcing that all returning students for the upcoming fall semester will be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. The college says all requests for medical and religious exemptions will be reviewed and accommodated on a case-by-case basis. Smith is planning to offer on-campus vaccine clinics this upcoming weekend.

Westfield State University is also getting ready for a Fall semester. They are encouraging students to get vaccinated but are not mandating it.

Meantime, community colleges will not be requiring students to receive the coronavirus vaccine in the fall. However, community college students are being urged to be vaccinated. Officials have decided that requiring all students to be vaccinated before arriving on campus would create an unnecessary burden.
