Two brush fires were contained by crews in the region on Wednesday.
The first fire was reported at around 4 pm on Brimfield Road in Monson.
In the evening a second fire was reported on Somers Road in Hampden. In this blaze, about three acres of land were burned.
There were no injuries.
While the flames fed on dead leaves and wood, officials say recent rain has helped prevent more fires this season.
