Logan International in Boston is on the list of 40 U.S. airports having their flight capacity reduced by ten percent.
The 40 airports on the list are among the busiest in the nation, with the reduction in flights beginning as early as today.
The cuts are an effort to reduce pressure on air traffic controllers who continue to work long hours without pay during the government shutdown.
It's expected the reduction in flights will impact thousands of passengers far beyond the 40 designated airports.
Bradley International Airport is releasing a statement after the FAA announced a cutback on the number of flights in the U.S. due to the government shutdown.
The airport said it has yet to see any operational impacts or widespread delays due to the shutdown, but it continues to monitor the situation.
At TF Green Airport in Rhode Island- there is no information as to whether that airport will see cuts.
