The Massachusetts court is hearing a challenge to undo the gun license ban for residents under 21.
Gun-rights activists claim that the state is not complying with a 2022 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that expanded gun rights nationwide.
The court's ruling could have widespread ramifications for several gun-possession criminal cases involving people under the age of 21.
This could also include cases of street violence where the gun was not registered at all.
The Supreme Judicial Court will rule on the case later this year.
